Today we passed our first 100km (116.15km, in fact).
The journey from Puente La Reina to Estella was 23.98km and other than an initial steep climb – thankfully early in the day before we were too tired – it was fairly uneventful.
We had planned on a long day tomorrow and a rest day on Saturday, but are now planning to walk a half day on both days… so we get the same rest and travel the same distance, but get to look around two different places instead of one.
We walked under the 85-year old Alloz aqueduct, met up again with the French lady carrying a guitar, and tucked into more local meat & cheese for snacks along the way – the meat being dry-aged beef that was pretty black in colour.
Today also marked our first googly eye bombing, hopefully there will be more to come 😜.
